Job Purpose:


To provide advanced support with installations, maintenance, repairs, and fault finding on the LTSA infrastructure and Managed Services networks across various technologies (IP, Transport, Voice, Optic Fibre & LAN) to ensure continuous services.

Minimum Requirements of Job

A Technical qualification along with CCNA or similar technical certification is essential

7 years' technical experience in Telecommunications 


Networking, cable installations
Experience working with cross-functional teams 
Project Management 

Key Outputs:

Provide advanced support on the LTSA and Customer Managed Services network in line with company standards and the required safety standards
Secure equipment against theft, vandalism and acts of nature.  Evaluate POP site, fibre infrastructure and CPE site quality, to ensure it is to the correct quality standards
Communicate with various stakeholders on the progress of repairs or maintenance 
Advanced support with field resolution capability for specific clients to ensure compliance with SLAs
Assist with creation, review and revision of service assurance processes to maintain compliance
Support Root Cause Analysis for all major events on the network to ensure systems are developed and put in place to prevent or mitigate reoccurrence

Assist with the execution and design of network upgrades to ensure seamless interaction between departments
Install new equipment / optic fibre in accordance with planned services and quality standards
Confirm performance of new services against the performance requirements
Execute project deliverables in the relevant operations environments
Assist with site surveys and provide feedback for the installation or upgrade of equipment/technology 
To conduct necessary adjustments to equipment such as switches, relays and other electrical controlled devices to optimise operating efficiencies

To liaise with colleagues across other areas and functions to ensure awareness of the problems
Communication and servicing customers and stakeholders.  Respond timeously to call outs ensuring minimal downtime and adherence to mean time to repair rate (MTTR)
To log all activities accurately and maintain accurate records 
Actively participate in planning installations and management of projects 
Complete reports and recommendations as required
