Responsible for managing the end-to-end bid process and setting up structures & processes of the Bid Office. Elements that contribute to bid complexity include geographic scope (number of sites, location of sites), solution scope (number of technologies, lines of business), service scope (number of services, SLAs) and commercial complexity (contractual terms and conditions, pricing models, subcontractors).

Certificate / Diploma in Project Management Desirable
Prince II Desirable
Foundation Level Certification - Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP) Essential
3-5 years' Bid Management experience essential of which at least 2 years' include people management within a Bid Office environment
Act as the subject matter expert for the organization within scope of control
Provide guidance in matters related to the bid process
Facilitate partnership agreements and the commercial and legal aspects thereof
Adhere to all regulatory requirements for pricing
Manages Performance within scope of control
Develop/formulate strategy and execute strategy for winning large and complex deals
Responsible for the overall bid submissions
Write responses to RFPs with reference to commercial and pricing aspects of submission
Manage commercial and financial risk of bids, RFPs
Ensure commercial and financial sign-off processes are in place and observed
Tender and Bid Management
Manage entire bid process in accordance with the organizations Bid Process using related supporting tools and systems
Apply sound project management principles and techniques to the management of bids
Effectively manage bid resources to facilitate the development of appropriate deal strategies, solution and service architectures, commercial models and delivery/service management plans
Establish clear and effective project plans for each bid and execute in accordance with these plans
Ensure that the organizations risk exposure on all bids is understood, documented, communicated to all stakeholders and appropriately addressed/ mitigated
Keep accurate records and an auditable trail of all bid artefacts and records on recognized company systems
Build and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders at all levels of the organization and across all functions. Bid teams typically comprise of subject matter experts from Sales, Marketing and Product, Finance, Legal, HR, Marketing as well as members of the senior management and executive teams
Facilitate the sourcing of general bid collateral from authorized business owners
Facilitate the compilation and delivery of all client-facing bid deliverables in accordance with client instructions and requirements as well as the organizations standards
Understand the organizations business model and key functions and offerings, as well as local operating, commercial and general business environment and conditions
Develop knowledge of business, its products and services by reading and review previous bid and design documents and spending time with pre-sales, technical and commercial functions
Review and improve other customer materials and develop a consistent set of standards and templates
Management of Resources (Human and Financial)
Ensures that all human resources are appropriately managed in terms of performance and development including performance management and career development initiatives
Assist with staffing and budgeting projections and ensure that the spend within the business unit complies with business plan and organisational processes
Mentor and train in line with performance objectives
